Probably a good thing, Roland realizes, that the girl has companions like these. Power like that, coupled with the kind of mind she seems to have, can be dangerous even when used with good intentions. While she pouts about not being able to tear open his friend's mind Roland looks around some more, peering at the water again and then at Donald to see how he's coping with the increase in speed.
